Planting Day Fall 2010

This year the students planted native species to honour and learn about the local eco-system.



Straw was used to insulate the soil, keep down weeds.



Lavender planted in May 2007 has thrived on little water - it stays!





Last summer's "weed experiment" worked - garden beds had reduced soil loss, with increased nitrogen.













A job well done!
